  1. *the jewelry* - As an artist my goal is to create a piece of jewelry that is meaningful and unique. My tag line pretty much sums it up – Jewelry that is designed to reflect on the past, live simply in the present, and embrace the future. Each and every piece is entirely handcrafted by me from start to finish. I use a variety of materials including vintage keys, silver-plated flatware, lace, fabric, buttons, game pieces, beads, charms, glass, copper, nickel, brass and more. Since each piece is handmade – they are unique and one of a kind. The Personalized stamped items each letter is individually stamped by hand- no 2 pieces will come out the same. Since there is no machine involved the letters will not be perfectly straight- this adds to the charm of a handstamped, handcrafted piece! The spacing in between letters and names will not be perfect either. The imperfections are not defects, but rather add to the unique quality of the piece. I also can only stamp so many letters and spaces per disc, keep that in mind before you order and the order that you want the names may not work out. The Personalized Photo Jewelry - try to choose photos that are crisp, clear and IN FOCUS. Also choose photos that do not have busy backgrounds or surrondings. I will do SIMPLE editing on your photo - which means I will crop the photo (where I see fit) - I will turn the photo black and white (if you choose me to do that) - I cannot spend time photoshopping out things in the background, changing the tones of the photo to lighten or darken subjects. Weather has a huge factor in my photo jewelry order timeline - if there is alot of moisture in the air - I am delayed - as it affects my glazing process. I always try to let you know if I feel a photo is unacceptable for the piece requested. High resolution digital files provide the BEST quality, camera phone files and scanned photos may be accepted but is not always the ideal choice. I have several albums that showcase some custom items that I have been asked to create. You may inquire about these and I may be able to re-create something similar for you – however, in many cases they will not be exactly like what is pictured, and I may not have the supplies to do so. A lot of my supplies are found at flea markets, antique stores and yard sales, and I cannot find the exact pieces again.
  2. *refunds & exchanges* - If there is a problem with your order please contact me within 3 days of receiving your order. I strive to meet the expectations and full satisfaction of all my customers. I am not able able provide refunds on "custom" orders. If the error was my mistake, I will fix it immediately and will refund the return shipping fees. If the error was not my mistake, and you are simply dissatisfied with the product or the font you chose, then the piece is yours to keep. I reserve the right to judge my own quality, I do my absolute best to send out the highest quality of handmade jewelry! I cannot remake or partially refund without the original piece returned.
  3. *Cleaning your jewelry* - Much of my jewelry is made from Base Metal – (for example the chains, bracelets, charms, etc.) I do not recommend showering or submersing these in water. The handstamped metals eventually are prone to tarnishing over time, and there are many different factors- climate, lotions, etc., that might cause your piece to tarnish faster than others. The mixed metals (copper and brass) may tarnish more quickly than the nickel – but DON’T WORRY – there is an easy fix – you can use some silver polish, wheel polish or even just an old worn out t-shirt, the polish will help better than anything. Storing your piece in an airtight plastic baggie when not worn will also help.
  4. *payment* - All orders must be pre-paid before work will begin on your item. I accept ALL major credit cards via the Square app on my iphone – I can key in your payment and send you a receipt via email or text! I also accept paypal and check (checks must clear bank BEFORE item is shipped). Cash is accepted at festivals or if you meet up with me in person (do not mail cash!)
  5. *shipping & delivery* - ALL ORDERS WILL BE CHARGED SHIPPING – the only exception is if you want to travel to my home in Unicoi, TN to pick up your item. Please allow up to 2-4 weeks from the time payment has cleared for shipment of your order unless otherwise noted, or unless you choose a rush option. During certain peak seasons (Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day) shipping may take longer. I do my best to get orders out in a timely manner! But I also have 4 kids which can be unpredictable at times – I will notify you of any unexpected delays! PLEASE NOTE- Unfortunately, once shipped I cannot control how fast the USPS gets your order to you. I am also not responsible if your package gets lost or takes longer to get to you than USPS guidelines. I recommend purchasing shipping insurance – which I can add to your order. I ship USPS 1st class mail in a bubble mailer envelope for $3 (up to 4 pieces). Anything over 4 pieces will upgrade to a small Flat Rate Priority Mail box for $6. Shipping insurance is optional but highly recommended. The post office DOES lose packages from time to time :)
  6. *gift certificates* - Gift certificates are available for purchase. You will receive your gift certificate code immediately via email. Or I can mail your certificate for gift giving purposes. Each gift certificate will have a certificate number to redeem. Each gift certificate can only be used once, no cash value will be given and no leftover credit balances are kept. They are good for 1 year. They can be redeemed in person at festivals and shows, or by online ordering – just message me before placing order with info.
thank you! I am honored that you are shopping with me! Please email me with any questions or comments as I am always striving to serve you better! artisticicing@yahoo.com
